Nada Khribech

Masters Student (2025)

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, and I have recently finished a Master’s in Health Sciences and Biotechnology. I am curious and passionate about biology, and particularly interested in complex molecular interactions.

My research project focused on studying how accessory helicases functionally interact with DNA structures, with the aim of better understanding the underlying mechanisms of this biological function.

Currently PhD student at the UCPQ Research Center (Institut Universitaire de Cardiologie et de Pneumologie de Québec).

Gabriel Morón Castejón

Masters Student (2026)

I hold a degree in Food Science and Technology from the University of Zaragoza and I finished a Master’s in Biotechnology during my stay at Granada. Throughout my academic training, I have developed a strong interest in genetics, molecular biology, and, in particular, experimental work in the laboratory.

During my time in the lab, I focused on studying novel repeat expansions associated with an increase risk of cancer progression.

Kajal Singh

Masters Student (2026)

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and I am currently in the final semester of my Master’s in Plant Biotechnology for Food and Global Health at the University of Tuscia, Italy. I’ve been a research intern at IPBLN-CSIC, where I have completed my Master’s thesis on developing therapeutic strategies that target repeat expansions disorders.

Previously, I have gained experience in plant biotechnology, genomic data curation, and bioinformatics. I have worked on genome assembly, functional annotation, and biomedical data analysis, as well as contributed to interdisciplinary projects involving scientific research and innovation.

Paula Vivas Vilchez

Undergrad Student (2026)

I have recently finished my degree in Biology at the University of Granada. I have always been interested in genetics and have found it to be one of my strengths. What I have studied and practiced in the laboratory has further motivated me to delve deeper into this field. During my undergrad project, I have investigated the functional overlap between repetitive sequences and accesory helicases. My future career aim is to carry on studying complex genetic pathways.
